On the day that you come to help, you will need to purchase some milk (2 pints is usually enough) and bring some biscuits. Homemade cakes or scones are always welcome but not essential. The coffee, tea, sugar, spoons and tea towels etc are permanently stored in the box labelled BGA in the store-room. Tablecloths are also in their own box, all to the left of the door.
If you arrive by 7:30 that should give you enough time to set up.
• Please fill the urn with about 4-6 large jugs of water and TURN IT ON TO FULL. When the water boils it can be turned right down and it will remain hot.
• Wipe all surfaces down prior to setting out the cups and saucers. You may wish to put some coffee into the cups and 6 teabags into the teapot.
• Cover any refreshments until required and put some sugar into the bowl. It helps to have some smaller jugs ready for the milk and hot water.
• Clear away, wash up and replace tea, sugar, spoons etc in the box and return them to the store-room. One of the Anns will take the dirty tea-towels to wash at home.
• Please notify Ann Ebbs or Ann Manze if the tea, coffee or sugar needs replenishing.
IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND ON YOUR APPOINTED DAY, COULD YOU PLEASE ARRANGE YOUR OWN COVER, BY EITHER SWAPPING WITH ANOTHER PERSON ON THE LIST OR ASKING SOMEONE ELSE TO STAND IN FOR YOU.
If you have any problems please phone Ann Manze (354764) or Ann Ebbs (344100) or a member on the reserve list. Thank you for volunteering.
