This is a family run business which has been supplying garden centres and Bedford Council with bedding plants for many years, and they do also sell direct to the public. So if you have never been there it is worth paying them a visit.
As you enter the beginning of the village, you come to a roundabout, where you take the road on the left-hand side, called Balls Lane, continue on down to the bottom and turn left, carry on round the bend past the church, and you will see their greenhouses on the right hand side. They sell excellent plants at about half the price of most garden centres. Charles, who runs it, says that if you mention that you are members of the BGA he will give you a special price! Don’t be put off if you can’t see anyone about immediately as he will probably be in one of the other greenhouses, but he will soon come to serve you and show you what’s in the other greenhouses. At the moment he has an excellent selection of winter-flowering pansies and violas.
