BIDDENHAM GARDENER’S ASSOCIATION AGM – 2014

The Annual general Meeting of the Biddenham Gardener’s Association was held on 15th July 2014.

The Chairman reported on another successful year with an average attendance of nearly fifty.  Speakers were generally of a high standard and we had three attractive outings. A particular achievement of the year was the creation of the wildflower bed at the entrance to Deep Spinney.
The treasurer reported a balance of  £ 2,341. George Metcalf was thanked for his services in examining the accounts.
The Chairman gave notice of the intention to hold a special General Meeting to vote on the proposal that the BGA’s financial year should be changed  so that it runs from 1 April to 31 March the following year.
After fifteen years’ service Gloria Clarke has ‘retired’ as secretary and she was thanked for her magnificent efforts.

The business meeting was followed by a presentation by Paul Sutherland on the work of the charity Bedford Garden Carers and concluded with a generous interpretation of a cheese and wine buffet.
